At Eyeworks London we pride ourselves in offering more than just the basics. That's why we allow 40 minutes for all our adult eye examinations.
It gives us plenty of time to perfect your spectacle prescription, thoroughly examine the health of your eyes and talk through any questions or concerns. Meaning, at Eyeworks London you will never feel like a sausage!
After each eye examination every patient will receive a detailed Eye Examination Report with links to retinal images.
We also include OCT in all adult eye examinations. The OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is a powerful imaging technique, It is much more than just a photograph of the back of the eyes.
The OCT scans deep in to the retina and optic nerve on an almost cellular level. So instead of looking at the retina (as with a photograph) with the OCT scan we are now able to see into the retina and therefore it can pick up early signs of macular degeneration, glaucoma and optic nerve swelling as well as other eye diseases.
